Getting a Lehenga Stitched in Bangalore: Fabric, Flare and Fitting

A ready-made lehenga rarely fits at the waist and almost never at the length. Getting one stitched to your measurements is the difference between adjusting your outfit all evening and forgetting you are wearing it.
Choose fabric before design
Raw silk and brocade give a structured, regal fall suited to weddings. Georgette and organza flow and are lighter for sangeet and reception. Velvet photographs beautifully but is warm for daytime functions in Bangalore.
Kalis, flare and cancan
Flare comes from the number of kalis (panels) and the cancan layer underneath. More kalis mean a fuller circle but also more weight — important if you will be on your feet for hours.
- 6–8 kalis — light, easy to move in, good for mehendi
- 10–12 kalis — the standard bridal flare
- Double cancan — dramatic, best with lighter fabrics
- Waistband with a side zip and hook for a clean finish
Timelines
Plan 3–4 weeks for a fully custom lehenga with embroidery, and 10–15 days for a stitched lehenga without heavy handwork. Bridal season fills quickly, so book early and keep one week free for the trial.

Bring the exact footwear you will wear for the length measurement, and finalise your blouse padding before the choli is cut. We measure, stitch a trial and adjust before final finishing on every lehenga.
