Drape and look
Silk holds structure — pleats stay sharp and the saree looks grand in photographs, which is why it dominates weddings and pujas. Georgette flows and clings lightly, giving a slimmer, more modern silhouette.
Comfort and Bangalore weather
Georgette is lighter and easier for long functions and travel. Pure silk is warmer but perfectly comfortable for evening events in Bangalore's climate.
Care and cost
Silk needs dry cleaning and careful storage in a cotton cloth; it is an investment piece that lasts decades. Georgette is more affordable, needs little ironing and handles frequent wear well.
